Delta Burke once said, "I don't like being labeled lonely, because I am not alone." What she touched on was this societal obsession people have with single people. I am not here to argue whether or not singleness is a gift or a curse, or to sound like an embittered person bashing all the men who broke my heart. I am, as I always do ,expressing my observations about the subject of singleness.I read a quote the other day that said, "Being single is getting over the illusion that there is somebody out there to complete you and taking charge of your own life."-Omkar Phatak
The sad truth is that many women(and men, may I add) are pinning their lives away hoping someone will save them from being alone. Here's another truth. We are not defined by who we are with, or who we are without. We are defined by the experiences, adventures and people we meet. If you are single or just alone today, be brave. Not because someone will notice you, but because by being brave, you will be, and feel, alive.
Good thoughts, Annette! =) Love you, Chica.
